Mom and Dad are delighted with our children's first recital, as you view the video clips, evident is Valerie's stage movement, her creative freedom of expression (ballet classes have helped no doubt) and voice that she no doubt inherited from George Anderson and Alfredo's side of the family!
(Just a tip for those new to You tube, push the play button, then stop it while the video downloads, wait a couple of minutes as the red line to the right of the play button extends off to the right, then when you push play again, the clip will play without that irritating delay.)
Valerie, Victor and their friend Andrea sing together, "It's a grand night for singing":
Unknown to me, Valerie invented her own choreography as she sang:
I could have danced all night.... from My Fair Lady
Victor does a great job coordinating piano playing and singing at the same time! We appreciate their music teacher, Miss Carla Caudill's music classes every Friday after school for the last year and can really see the "accumulative effect of doing small things over a long period of time."
Victor singing and playing piano for Jolly Old Saint Nicholas:
Valerie's creative expression and decision to use a teddy bear to show the longing in the song shows real promise in solid stage movement. All of the audience was moved by her song and expression!
Somewhere over the Rainbow, from "The Wizard of Oz":
